Your Guide To Refilling Inkjet Cartridges

Some people don’t want to deal with refilling an inkjet cartridge,
because they think it’s a hassle. Little do they know the money they
will save by simply following the instructions provided in every
printer refill kit.

Most inkjet printer refills have the same steps to follow, but there
will be some variations depending on the type of cartridge you are
refilling.

First, prepare your work area by covering anything that could get
messy with paper towels. Get everything you need within easy reach so
that you don’t drag ink all over your house looking for what you need.

Second, you’ll need to connect the needle to the inkfill syringe. You
will need to use a different syringe for separate ink colors.

After you’ve secured the needle, put on a pair of latex gloves, which
should come with the printer refill kit. Ink stains are extremely
hard to get out of skin, so it’s best to be safe.

Carefully draw ink into your syringe. There should be some kind of
mark on the syringe to make sure you get the appropriate amount of ink
into the syringe.

Next, inject the ink into the opening on the cartridge. You will need
to release the ink slowly so that it all goes into the cartridge and
not all over you.

When you are done with the syringe, carefully place it aside. You
should only seal the injection hole if it says to in the instructions. Most ink cartridges need the extra air to work properly.

Check for leaks on your cartridge, and wipe off any excess ink. Clean
your work area thoroughly, making sure that you didn’t get ink on
anything that can’t be cleaned. Unused ink can be stored for future
use.

There is a great opportunity to save a lot of money by using inkjet
printer refills. Most people will just spend the money on new
cartridges because they think inkjet cartridge refills aren’t
practical. Remember, the more often you refill your cartridges, the
more money you’ll save, and the easier it will become.
